Head of Trading and IT Operations

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as an IT System Administrator in Geneva. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure, working with a mix of on-premise and cloud technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows servers, virtualization, networking, and security, as well as the ability to handle complex projects and support escalations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory.
  2. Support business-critical trading applications, ensuring system availability and performance.
  3. Handle patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Windows-based systems.
  4. Work with Citrix, Exchange, SQL Server, and NetApp storage solutions.
  5. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement IT projects.
  6. Provide 3rd line support and assist with escalations from 1st and 2nd level support teams.
  7. Occasional travel to remote office locations for system setup and maintenance.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT System Administrator.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016+), VMware ESXi / vCenter, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Veeam backup technologies and Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server administration and Exchange Server (2016+).
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (DMZ, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Experience with SCCM patch management and Microsoft 365 / Azure AD.
  • Proactive mindset, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong problem-solving skills.
