Job Summary:
Geneva College is seeking a highly qualified Tenure-Track Faculty member to join our Business and Accounting Department. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching finance and accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as advising students and contributing to the department's research and service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach finance and accounting courses to undergraduate and graduate students, including introductory and advanced courses in financial management, accounting theory, and auditing.
- Develop and implement curriculum to ensure that students meet the learning objectives of the program.
- Advise students on academic and career goals, and provide guidance on course selection and academic progress.
- Contribute to the department's research and service activities, including publishing research papers, presenting at conferences, and participating in departmental and college-wide committees.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide events, including orientation, graduation, and other activities that promote the college's mission and values.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a business-related field, or a master's degree in a business-related field with significant work experience in the field and/or successful teaching in a college business program.
- Christian commitment and a strong understanding of the Reformed faith, with a demonstrated ability to integrate a Christian perspective in their work.
- Excellent teaching, research, and service skills, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching finance and accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Publication record in reputable academic journals.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.
