Security Architect

About the Role
The Security Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing security initiatives and features across SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, protecting hundreds of employees and millions of customers on our marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and lead projects to ensure the safety of our customers and their data
- Lead strategic initiatives and play an active role in implementing solutions that require cross-functional participation
- Research trends, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and measure the effectiveness of our security controls
- Develop deep industry and technology expertise to stay ahead of adversarial actors
- Run interest groups, organise activities, competitions, and perform community outreach
- Create and deliver security implementation recommendations, sample code, and technical presentations
- Document and present results to a variety of audiences
Requirements
- University studies in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
- Technical knowledge in one or more of the following: fraud detection/prevention, cloud security, security operations, virtualization, IAM, network security, and product security
- Experience in analyzing and identifying security problems, threat modelling, security architecture, security reviews, and assessing security features
- Experience in Web Development, and coding, and with databases, and/or querying
- Experience leading engineers to develop security features, or deploy a security component
- Ability to solve large unstructured business problems, working closely or leading cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and complete multiple projects in a timely manner
