Data Analyst – Precision Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our Technology-Enabled Precision Medicine for Metabolic Disorders group at the Universität Bern. The successful candidate will contribute to developing new technologies for managing diabetes and metabolic disorders through novel digital interventions.
About the RoleThe Data Analyst will work closely with our team to develop mathematical models for precision medicine, focusing on digital twins to simulate/predict physiologic variables and generate actionable advice to promote cardiometabolic health in women across the life course.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data analysis and machine learning algorithms to support the development of precision medicine technologies.
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify patterns and trends that inform the development of digital twin models.
- Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to design and implement clinical studies evaluating the effectiveness of precision medicine technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Experience with data analysis and machine learning techniques, including linear regression, decision trees, and clustering.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and industry partners.
- A competitive salary: CHF 80'000 - 100'000 per year, depending on experience.
