Job Title: Global Procurement Leader

At Straumann Group, we are seeking a highly experienced Global Procurement Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of our global procurement organization, defining and implementing an innovative procurement strategy that drives decentralized functions into an integrated, trusted, and impactful global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of the global procurement organization, defining and implementing an innovative procurement strategy.
  • Establish and monitor strategic KPIs related to procurement activities, ensuring alignment with annual savings targets and overall organizational goals.
  • Develop and drive a strategic framework for category and supplier management, achieving a best-value position with suppliers through tendering, competitive benchmarking, and negotiation.
  • Initiate and lead change and cost reduction programs, deriving and executing tactics for the purchasing strategy to deliver year-over-year savings.
  • Champion the adoption of e-procurement and advanced digital technologies to increase efficiency, streamline processes, and implement lean, agile procurement practices.
  • Integrate sustainability into the procurement strategy, ensuring that supplier practices align with the Group's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.
  • Lead the implementation of supplier management best practices, including certification programs, performance reviews, and strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Build a robust and resilient procurement organization by developing both transactional and strategic procurement teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a dynamic international business environment, focusing on procurement, sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Proven track record of delivering year-over-year savings in an international context, with demonstrated ability to drive cost reductions and lead transformative change projects globally.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with sound financial acumen and the ability to employ various negotiation styles effectively.
  • Experience working with supply chain and material planning functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a global and matrix organization.
  • Proficient understanding of key contractual terms and the ability to define and manage respective contracts and supplier relations commercially.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience using IT and ERP systems, preferably within a SAP landscape.
  • Team player with an open & positive attitude, a strong customer focus, and a result-driven mentality.
  • Fluent in English, German / other languages are an asset.
