This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of Alpiq's energy storage business, with a focus on utility-scale battery systems. As a BESS Construction Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of BESS projects across our core markets in Western Europe.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end process for BESS projects, from final investment decision to commercial operations and O&M stage.
- Developing and implementing best practices for BESS construction, including defining target construction approaches and conducting RFP processes.
- Managing risks throughout the project lifecycle, including developing and documenting risk management plans.
- Establishing governance and quality standards for BESS construction projects, including KPIs, reporting, and documentation.
- Leading and coordinating a small team of internal project managers and establishing a resource pool with external resources.
We are looking for a highly collaborative and experienced professional with a strong track record in delivering complex construction projects in the renewables energy sector. You will have a profound technical understanding of utility-scale BESS systems and its key success factors from a construction perspective. Additionally, you will have experience in leading commercial negotiations and building high-performing teams.
