Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Design Engineer to join our team in Hinwil, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical and hydraulic systems and components for the racecar and associated R&D activities.
  • Work on systems associated with Power Unit integration, steering, braking, fuel & cooling layouts.
  • Plan and oversee testing of systems concepts on test rigs and on the racecar.
  • Produce detailed CAD models and technical drawings (CATIA v6 / 3DExperience advantageous) and maintain technical documentation and standards compliance.
  • Liaise closely with suppliers and other technical groups across the team to ensure efficient and reliable designs for relevant systems.
  • Optimise systems for performance and reliability using simulation tools and analyse data to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum degree qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in mechanical and/or hydraulics system design in an F1 or high-level motorsports environment.
  • Familiarity with FIA legality & homologation considerations for systems components.
  • Experience with system simulation & programming tools such as FEA, Matlab / Simulink, Amesim, Python.
  • Professional proficiency in English for effective report communication.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication & organisational skills with experience of managing & mentoring.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and with a keen sense of responsibility.
