Position Overview
We are in search of a Global Sourcing Tax Lead to become a vital part of our Group Tax team at Barry Callebaut. This position entails providing guidance on tax strategies, frameworks, and business initiatives for Global Sourcing operations, with a particular focus on African markets. You will collaborate with internal teams, oversee tax opportunities and challenges, and ensure compliance with tax regulations for Global Sourcing entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer tax guidance to internal teams regarding international taxation, transfer pricing, and indirect tax matters
- Develop regional tax strategies and implement tax-efficient frameworks for business activities
- Oversee tax audits, manage dispute resolutions, and ensure compliance with tax obligations
- Conduct monthly tax reporting and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations
- Work alongside finance departments on tax accounting and compliance matters
- Investigate and assess significant tax law changes impacting the region
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 6 years of tax experience within a multinational corporation or a Big 4 Accounting firm
- Proficient knowledge of international taxation and indirect tax
- Experience in tax accounting and compliance is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate complex tax scenarios
- Proficiency in English and French
