Your Role

  • As a Senior Underwriter, you will be part of a global treaty reinsurance team focused on developing and maintaining a profitable portfolio of Nat Cat treaties.
  • You will work closely with the reinsurance team to serve clients and brokers, meeting their needs in a timely manner and creating value for all parties involved.
  • As a member of the underwriting team, you will ensure that your activities align with the Underwriting Rules and Guidelines, Working Directives, and Underwriting Authority.
  • To achieve your marketing goals, you will establish specific plans, gather market data, and identify new opportunities.

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Natural sciences, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Underwriting experience within the treaty reinsurance industry, with the ability to underwrite reinsurance treaties and understand contract wordings, pricing, and rating methodology.
  • Profound understanding of Nat Cat models and knowledge of Property Cat reinsurance markets.
  • Proven track record of managing international client and broker relationships, with effective strategic relationship management and portfolio management skills.
  • Pragmatic, goal-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English and German, with knowledge of other languages beneficial.
