At Technis, we strive to revolutionize how people make informed decisions about physical spaces by harnessing real-world data. Our team of innovative engineers designs cutting-edge products for connected spaces, and we're looking for a skilled Data Engineering Lead to bring our designs to life.



Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines, collaborating closely with your project team to ensure high-quality data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions. You will also work with our Product and Delivery Managers to refine the definition of the work in the product backlog, contributing your expertise and gaining clarity when needed.



Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining data pipelines using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop.
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (i.e., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Excited to learn new technologies and adopt new solutions to deliver amazing products and further your depth of knowledge as an engineer and technologist.
  • Contributed to technical design discussions and helped evaluate different technical solutions to influence architectural decision making.
  • Comfortable following general agile delivery methodologies and participating in regularly scheduled meetings and ceremonies (generally only two per week).
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable advocating for your needs, the needs of the project, and the needs of the team.
