Located in Visp, Switzerland, our Bioconjugates Unit is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet the greatest challenges in patient treatment.
Main Responsibilities:- We are looking for an expert who can ensure timely and high-quality development, change, optimization, and control of production and cleaning recipes and documentation in accordance with local procedures.
- During recipe building phase, create necessary objects in MES/DeltaV, test them in development environment, and monitor those blocks during commissioning and qualification phase.
- Deliver automation input required for the specific set-up, commissioning, and qualification of the manufacturing suites and equipment.
- Represent the interface for automation-related matters between different departments, ensuring that conditions and specifications for successful project execution are brought to responsible parties in planning and engineering phase.
- Monitor functionality of manufacturing records (EBR) in MES/DeltaV during water batch and first batch in production phase and take corrective action in case of deviations.
- Support running production in case of automation trouble-shooting for assigned automation recipes.
- Continuously improve procedures and processes (6S, Lean Sigma, KAIZEN, EPS) in compliance with safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality requirements in the area of responsibility.
- We require experience in automation engineering and maintenance, ideally in operation of a pharmaceutical company.
- Experience with Emerson MES Syncade (DeltaV is a bonus) is necessary.
- Knowledge of GMP compliance requirements is preferred.
- Good communication skills and interaction with various interfaces within the organization and shop floor are essential.
- Strong team orientation is required.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; German is an advantage.
- This position offers extensive flexibility for home-office.
