Biological Specimen Coordinator

Job Overview
Roche Diagnostics, a world leader in in-vitro diagnostics, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual as a Biological Specimen Coordinator.

About the Role
This position will be based at our RDI campus located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end biorepository activities to fulfill customer specimen requests within Roche Diagnostic Solutions (RDS).

Key Responsibilities
- Manage biological material supply, receipt, registration, shipment, returns, verification activities, retrievals, inventory searches, and identify discrepancies in a validated environment to meet stakeholder and business needs
- Collaborate with relevant permitting agencies, import/export compliance, and local Safety and Biorepository Teams to comply with permit requirements
- Maintain information in a validated laboratory information management system compliant with GxP principles and standards
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of work within supported projects, responding appropriately to changing priorities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science
- Experience in handling biological specimens and willingness to work with potentially infectious biological material (Biosafety level 2)
- Proficient with MS Excel and Google suite
- English B2 Level
- Ability to lift 30lbs, work in cold environment with limited daylight, stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders
- Self-motivated and solution-driven individual who can maintain quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables
- Ability to follow standard procedures and strong understanding of biospecimen traceability
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player, self-organized, and motivated individual with meticulous attention to detail
