Global Procurement Senior Specialist

Job Description:

As a Global Procurement Senior Specialist at 3M, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in procurement category leadership to drive strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization. This role will provide you with the chance to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet the company's cost savings, growth, and working capital goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide category ownership across 3M businesses and divisions, serving as a strategic procurement leader for outsourced goods-for-resale and ODM.
  • Drive procurement policies and best practices, leading negotiations and managing complex supplier relationships to minimize total product and process cost.
  • Lead supplier selection and own external supplier relationships as the key point of contact for 3M.
  • Develop and implement category risk reduction strategies by partnering with 3M stakeholders.
  • Drive cash improvement in accordance with global policy and lead contract negotiations with strategic supply partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent professional experience.
  • Combined experience in sourcing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, engineering, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Fluent English language both written and verbal.
  • Additional qualifications include experience in sourcing, especially with outsourced suppliers, strong negotiation skills, initiative, self-starter with a positive and proactive approach, project management experience, and financial acumen.
