NIRLAB AG is a pioneering Swiss company at the forefront of handheld spectroscopy solutions. We revolutionize on-site analysis by combining near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy with machine learning, providing instant and anywhere discovery of material compositions.

We are seeking an innovative and proactive software expert to enhance our development team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing software components that power our advanced spectroscopy solution. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile app development, frontend, backend, ML model deployment, or integration of Bluetooth Low Energy devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the software development team to design, develop, and maintain product features that meet user needs.
  • Test software components to ensure high quality standards.
  • Ensure security, availability, and performance of software components.
  • Reproduce and fix reported issues.
  • Contribute to software products improvement.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • Open-minded and willing to learn new skills.
  • Proven experience building complex software products.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, Typescript, or similar programming languages.
  • Version control systems (git) proficiency.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Containerization (docker/docker compose) experience.
  • Cloud providers (AWS) experience is a plus.
  • Database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL) experience is a plus.
