Description

National Underwriting Centre (NUC) at Manulife Singapore requires a skilled Medical Summarizer to provide reliable APS summaries for underwriters. This role involves summarizing extensive medical documentation using a pre-defined template, interpreting diagnostic tests, and maintaining client confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Summarize APS documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Interpret medical test results, laboratory findings, and pathology reports to identify relevant medical impairments.
  • Meet high service standards, achieving a minimum of 99% accuracy and 100% TAT for daily summaries.
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of client records.

Qualifications:

  • College or university graduate in any medical field.
  • Strong knowledge of medical conditions, diagnostics, treatments, terminology, and medications.
  • Clinical and medical background is essential.
  • Good understanding of medical terminologies, impairments, patterns, and risks.
  • Good understanding of non-medical information (lifestyle).
  • Ability to extract significant medical and non-medical information.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read difficult handwriting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
