With rapid expansion underway in Switzerland, we are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Strategic Account Executive. This individual will be responsible for maximising the substantial market opportunity that exists for Databricks within the life sciences sector. Reporting to our Senior Director of Enterprise Sales, the successful candidate will focus on deepening existing commercial relationships and closing new business opportunities with one of our largest clients in the life sciences sector.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to meet and exceed revenue and consumption goals for your key account
  • Implement a robust execution plan to meet and exceed revenue and consumption targets
  • Build strong, positive relationships with key decision-makers (up to and including C-level) and establish yourself as a trusted advisor for Data & AI-related subjects
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop expand/consumption use cases within your key account
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximise the impact on your ecosystem
  • Demonstrate exceptional value with all engagements to guide successful negotiations and close deals

We are looking for someone with:

  • A successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas and KPIs
  • Experience managing large enterprise-class life sciences clients in Switzerland
  • Proven experience selling complex software deals
  • Understanding of consumption-based land and expand sales models
  • Evidence of creating demand that delivered substantial business value
  • Experience following robust sales methodologies and processes, such as account planning, MEDDPICC, Value Selling, Command of the Message, and accurate forecasting
  • Experience building effective champions and collaborative teams to support execution of your territory plan
  • Experience developing a clear partner strategy and managing it to success
  • Understanding of how to identify important use cases and buying centres to increase the impact of Databricks within an organisation
  • Fluent English and German language skills are essential
