Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Assistant to join our Institution Sales & Trading team in Zurich. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service to clients and sales support to the equity sales team.
The successful candidate will gain familiarity with William Blair's equity products and research, perform research requested by the sales team and clients, and build relationships with counterparts throughout the firm to facilitate execution of job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Client Service: Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, order entry, trade routing, trade allocation, and trade booking.
- Sales Support: Support a team of senior salespeople in answering phones and providing updates on William Blair research and product offerings.
- Post-Trade Process: Manage the post-trade process to ensure that all trades are settled smoothly.
- Trade Settlements: Monitor trade settlements to ensure they meet the designated timeline and handle any discrepancies or issues that arise during settlement.
- Liaison: Liaise with counterparties and back office in Chicago to ensure a smooth clearing and settlement process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Series 7 license required or expected to be successfully obtained within 3 months of employment
- Fluency in English, Swiss German, and German
- Financial and/or Professional Services experience
- Strong interest in and knowledge of the US equity market and related fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take responsibility for one's work
