Viking's Enrichment team is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable guest lecturer to deliver engaging presentations on science, technology, and other related topics on board our award-winning ocean vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a series of lectures on various science and technology topics, tailored to our passengers' interests and the ship's itinerary.
- Conduct Q&A sessions and provide additional information to passengers who are interested in learning more.
- Deliver scenic commentary during shore excursions and other events, providing context and insights into the areas we're visiting.
- Host dinner tables and engage with passengers in a convivial atmosphere.
- Accompany passengers on shore excursions and provide expert commentary and insights.
- Represent Viking as an ambassador and contribute to the overall success of our enrichment program.
Requirements:
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
- A degree or relevant personal experience in the field of expertise.
- Lecturing experience, preferably in a college, university, or cruise ship setting.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Dedicated, flexible team player with a positive and approachable personality.
- Ability to uphold Viking's standards of excellence and provide exceptional service to our passengers.
- Available for a minimum of 4-6 week assignments, multiple times a year.
