**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to lead the implementation of a standardized Automation Recipe Lifecycle approach for our Biologics organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join our central team, interfacing with Automation and Operations across all Biologics Manufacturing Assets.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support the implementation of a standardized recipe lifecycle approach for products in routine manufacturing phase.
  • Drive the development of recipes for major growth projects.
  • Author cGMP-compliant documentation, including FS, Software Test Cases, SOPs, and other relevant documents, in collaboration with Bioprocess engineers, Plant Leads, QA, and MSAT.
  • Monitor and change processes under change control during start-up, qualification, and production phases, participating in risk and process deviation analyses.
  • Provide support outside of normal working hours, as needed, for imminent production downtime, security, or other critical situations.
  • Create and modify shared recipe objects and define EC Modules in MES / DeltaV systems to run production processes.
  • Improve procedures and processes in compliance with safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality requirements in the area of responsibility.

**Key Requirements**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Structured, focused, and well-organized work ethic, with a solution-oriented and open-minded approach to new ideas.
  • Expertise with MES Syncade and DeltaV, with familiarity with other GMP systems (LIMS, SAP, MODA, etc.).
  • Ability to recognize risks related to security or compliance/GMP, discuss them, and help rectify them.
  • Excellent team and social skills, with a strong understanding of IT/process control systems and the ability to recognize operational optimization potential.
  • Independently implement measures assigned to optimize security, costs, or operational processes.
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally at higher levels, with a strong business understanding and team orientation.
