Thermal Spray Technician

Your Tasks

• Apply thermal coatings to aircraft engine parts using various coating equipment, fixtures, and processes.
• Prepare and post-process parts for coating, including surface protection, grit blasting, and blending.
• Create and run robotic programs on 6-axis robots (ABB) for efficient coating operations.
• Maintain equipment functionality by performing tasks such as adding coating powder, changing spray nozzles, checking fluids and filters, and aligning equipment.
• Ensure equipment is in excellent operating condition and troubleshoot issues to resolve them quickly.
• Collaborate with process and equipment engineers, machinists, and laboratory specialists to meet all specifications.
• Interpret OEM repair manuals, drawings, manufacturing specifications, and shop orders as required.
• Use part handling devices to load and unload parts efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S standards.

Your Profile

• Completed basic technical training.
• 3 years of experience in CNC machining, mechanical, or manufacturing.
• Experience with thermal spray equipment, preferably in turbomachinery.
• Robot programming experience is an advantage.
• Open-minded, committed team player.
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift operation.
• English spoken and written, German language skills are an advantage.
