We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and be responsible for all backend-related topics. As a member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing cloud-based backend services to implementing new features and maintaining the backend architecture and infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience implementing REST API based backends is required.
  • Familiarity with Java (Kotlin is a plus) and Spring Boot based backends is essential.
  • Knowledge of common SQL and NoSQL databases is necessary.
  • Deploying and managing a cloud-based backend, preferably on AWS, is a must.
  • Familiarity with development, testing, debugging, and performance benchmarking tools like IntelliJ, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and Postman is required.
  • The ideal candidate has experience in client-server, backend, and integration architectures and can take a generalist view of the whole platform.
  • A seasoned professional with good people- and communication-skills, capable of demonstrating technical leadership, is what we're looking for.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory – knowledge of German is a bonus.
