As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for hardware upkeep and refurbishment, operating system deployment and tuning, operational monitoring, and computer security. You will also participate in user support and troubleshooting, as well as take ownership of specific projects like improving the monitoring and configuration management systems. This role includes team supervision responsibilities, requiring you to work closely with existing experts to ensure efficient and effective task completion.
Key requirements for this role include a strong background in Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL variants, and experience with scripting languages such as Bash and Python. Additionally, knowledge of development tools on Linux, computer hardware troubleshooting, and monitoring experience using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki are essential. Virtualization and containerization experience, specifically with KVM and podman, are also highly desirable. A University degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (or a related field) is required, and applicants must have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation. Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
This is a fixed-term contract position with a duration of 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months. The selected candidate will be fully integrated into the System Administration team and will work collaboratively with existing experts to achieve the team's objectives.
