Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analysis Specialist to support the EMEA Head of Analytics & Business Insights in improving the efficiency of our existing processes related to Renewal monitoring, Underwriting Plan, Performance Review, and technical steering of the P&C portfolio.

Working closely with the global ABI teams, you will improve existing analytics, develop new tools, and dashboards provided to various stakeholders, including Underwriting community, Heads of regions, Finance, and Reinsurance management.

  • Support the Underwriting Plan process, enhance analytics, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Monitor business performance, analyze areas for improvement, and develop key performance indicators.
  • Maintain data and tools for quarterly performance monitoring and prepare Reinsurance performance review presentations.
  • Active support in Renewal monitoring and reporting, working with Underwriting, Pricing, and Catastrophe modelling teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improving data accuracy and process efficiency, automating tasks, and investigating technical solutions.
  • Developing IT tools to support Underwriting teams and improving data management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in the (re)insurance sector, in a technical function (actuarial, modelling, or underwriting support).
  • Knowledge of the (re)insurance market in Europe and understanding of the reinsurance rating environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, including programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, or R), and experience with Tableau or Power BI.

Personal Competencies

  • Good organizational and communication skills in English, with the ability to work on several projects and tasks.
  • Analytical, rigorous, and attention to detail, with a pro-active attitude and curiosity to work on topics outside of core competencies.

Education

  • A highly skilled technical person with a quantitative background (e.g., Master of Science in Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science).
  • Data scientist or actuarial background, with further insurance or financial-related studies preferred.
