Job Title: Project Manager

Universität Bern is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at the Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology, Nutritional Medicine and Metabolism (UDEM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the Precision Metabolic Medicine Network (PM2N) and contributing to the advancement of research, education, and collaboration within the academic community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with network stakeholders to plan and execute the network's core mission, including project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Plan, track, and document project meetings (minutes).
  • Monitor and manage the network's funding.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between partners and collaborators, academic institutions, funding agencies, and other stakeholders to align goals and expectations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, proposals, and other relevant materials.
Requirements:
  • A master's in Life Sciences, business administration, management, or a related field with at least three years of experience in project management roles.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory processes for clinical trials within Switzerland and the EU.
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English. Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Highly effective organizational and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to plan, identify risks, anticipate issues and outcomes, and respond strategically, tactically, and operationally while balancing short-term and long-term objectives.
