About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You should be proficient in SAP and Excel, with a good understanding of accounting principles and internal control systems. A degree in Economics or a related field is essential, and experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:*
- Lead the General Ledger team, overseeing the monthly closing processes for two international entities.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable and Budget Controlling & Reporting teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient financial operation.
- Implement and maintain a continuous assessment of the financial close process and internal controls.
- Develop and mentor the General Ledger team to drive process and system improvements.
- Prepare and review annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with local GAAP standards.
Requirements:
- A university degree in Economics or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (local GAAP and IFRS) and internal procedures.
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel, with familiarity with Power BI.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
