Commodity Procurement Specialist

Job Title: Commodity Buyer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Buyer to join our team at Liebherr Machines Bulle SA. As a Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for the daily management of a purchasing portfolio, including supplier relationship management, price negotiations, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Purchasing Portfolio: You will be accountable for the daily management of a purchasing portfolio, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of commodities.
• Supplier Relationship Management: You will manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, RFQ, price negotiation, contract management, long-term agreements, business reviews, and quality control.
• Price Negotiations and Contract Management: You will conduct price negotiations and contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms for the company.
• Supplier Evaluations: You will coordinate supplier evaluations with the Supplier Quality Manager and conduct audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Cost Reduction Activities: You will initiate and drive cost reduction activities to optimize procurement costs.
• Overseas Sourcing: You will coordinate overseas sourcing activities with sister entities to ensure seamless procurement processes.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, economics, management, project management, or purchasing.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Commodity Buyer in the Automotive, Construction Equipment, Aviation, or Railway Industry.
• Language Skills: Good knowledge of French, German, and English.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP, Share Point, and Microsoft Office.
• Personal Skills: Organized, flexible, strong analytical mind, excellent teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn and improve performance.
