Silicon Characterization Engineer

At CERN, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for further exploring and improving the use of bent crystal for beam manipulation.
This position involves formulating specifications for new projects using crystals, managing and improving the supply processes of crystal wafers and strips from external and internal suppliers, and validating the crystals using x-ray diffractometry.
We are looking for an individual with experience in high precision mechatronic systems, ability to use high precision techniques for characterisation, and experience using optical measurement systems. The ideal candidate should also have a professional background in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, and hold a Master's degree or PhD.
