Senior Software Engineering Director

Liom is a pioneering health-tech startup in Switzerland, dedicated to revolutionizing personalized health monitoring. Our mission is to develop the first non-invasive glucose wearable and launch it as a consumer product in the EU by 2027, followed by a medically cleared product in the US.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a talented software engineering team, guiding them towards exceptional growth and strategic vision alignment with our business goals.
- Oversee the development of our platforms, ensuring seamless integration of hardware, software, and AI components, while designing scalable system architecture for the smartwatch, companion app, and cloud services.
- Develop, build, and maintain our app, recruiting the necessary team members.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and other departments to deliver premium results.
- Work with hardware teams to define sensor integration protocols, ensuring real-time data processing and integrity.
- Spearhead the integration of AI and ML models for real-time health analytics and personalized user experiences.
- Proven experience in senior software engineering leadership roles, preferably within a company with a hardware component, with a plus for experience in the health-tech or med-health industry.
- Strong technical background in software development, ML/AI, and system architecture.
- Passion for coding and willingness to code yourself and/or with your team members.
- Hands-on mentality who enjoys building systems from scratch for products not yet on the market.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams and developing our organization.
- Experience in start-up or fast-paced growth environments is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a forward-thinking mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
