About the Role

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is seeking a highly skilled Quality and Production Engineer to join its HL-LHC project team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and production of electro-mechanical components for the High Luminosity LHC project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the HL-LHC project team in the development and implementation of quality processes and standards for electro-mechanical production.
  • Collaborate with contractors and collaborations to ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and records related to quality processes and standards.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare KPIs to monitor and improve quality processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members on CERN tools and quality processes.
  • Work closely with the Technical Coordination Committee and the HL-LHC Integration team to ensure compatibility of components and installation sequences.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, with 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience.
  • PhD in Engineering or a related field, with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to work in French an advantage.
  • Knowledge of quality processes and standards applicable to electro-mechanical production, including procedures and measurements.
  • Experience with industrial contracts and collaborations follow-up from production and/or quality side, for electro-mechanical components.
