Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Specialist to join our team at Université de Lausanne.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to departments on business systems supporting operations. They will develop and implement solutions to operational problems, design and modify systems to improve departmental operations, and ensure data security in accordance with corporate policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, cost estimates, and benefit analyses to establish project worth and recommend alternative considerations.
  • Design and develop solutions to operational problems and modify systems to improve departmental operations.
  • Manage customer expectations and scope, working closely with IT Division staff and customers to ensure developed system functionality meets requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise on computer application projects and prepare conversion and user installation plans for project implementation.
  • Ensure data security and create user guides, reference manuals, and training materials as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or closely related field with four years of experience in Systems Analysis, feasibility studies, or business systems development.
  • Excellent communication and problem analysis skills, with ability to work well with people from different disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Good work habits, strong work ethic, and adherence to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette.
