About the Role

SICPA is seeking an experienced Industrialization Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our hardware development team, you will be responsible for coordinating the industrialization of hardware developments and supporting a multidisciplinary team in terms of mechanics, electronics, and optical developments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as technical coordinator for the industrialization of hardware developments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  2. Identify and develop partnerships with suppliers for future embedded device developments, ensuring high-quality components and competitive pricing.
  3. Design and build prototypes, benches, calibration tools, and perform optical measurements, tests, and validations for embedded device developments, optimizing manufacturing processes and workflows.
  4. Evaluate design for manufacturing (DFM) aspects in new product developments, validating product design documents and test strategy to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
  5. Collaborate with internal product development teams and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure smooth production and assembly of devices and sensors.
  6. Commission production lines at subcontractors' facilities, ensuring efficient and quality-driven manufacturing processes.
  7. Analyze issues at design/prototype stage as well as at manufacturing/production, taking ownership of manufacturing flow charts, tools, bills of materials, and versioning.
  8. Prepare products for certification, documenting and submitting files for certification applications and acting as the direct contact with certification organizations.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechanical, or Optical engineering.
  2. 5-10 years of experience in industrialization engineering and hardware development, with strong background in electronic devices releases, reliability, coordination, testing, and evaluation, maintainability.
  3. Experience in coordinating suppliers for medium/low volume industrial devices manufacturing, with knowledge of work processes and optimization methods.
  4. Familiarity with SAP or other production management tools, as well as software development tools like Solidworks, Altium, Zemax, and Labview.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
