Informatica Production Support Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Informatica Production Support Expert to join our team at Company 81 - Manulife Data Services Inc. This role is responsible for providing expert-level support for Informatica PowerCenter, including design, development, testing, and deployment of ETL transformations and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and debug Informatica ETL transformations and embedded SQL code, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in platform upgrades and create/maintain/update platform support documentation on processes, policies, and application configuration.
  • Act as one of the primary contacts for Informatica PowerCenter, providing consulting services and guidance on best practices for Informatica transformation design and development.
  • Be available to work off-hours and extended shifts if required, providing on-call support as part of the on-call rotation within the platform support team.
  • Proactive ownership of incidents and issues until resolution, logging and tracking identified system problems through resolution.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external resources, technology vendors, and outsourcing service providers.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least two to three years of relevant experience in IT operations.
  • Hybrid work arrangement: Amiability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need).
  • Shift schedule (fixed night shift): Amiability to work on the assigned schedule (dependent on business need).
  • Minimum skills to hire/must haves: 5 years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including version 10.x; ability to read, analyze, and write PERL or UNIX scripts; experience troubleshooting SQL queries, including stored procedures; knowledge of CAW batch or similar scheduling agents; and knowledge of at least one of the Informatica tools.
  • Nice to have skills: strong customer service and interpersonal skills, strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate; ability to lead and influence technical peers and decision makers; good organizational, time management, and planning skills; and ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
