Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team at Michael Kors. As a key member of our corporate support team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our legal department, including contract management, company secretarial, and legal research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Draft and review legal letters, non-disclosure agreements, consumer terms and conditions, marketing/PR and real estate documentation.
  • Company Secretarial: Assist with organizational documents, including board and shareholder resolutions, minutes of meetings, and powers of attorney.
  • Legal Research: Conduct relevant legal research to support the legal department.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the legal department, including signature management, filing, document delivery, mail, and invoice management.
  • Calendar Management: Coordinate and arrange internal and external meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare meeting spaces.
  • Brand Protection: Manage brand protection and legal databases, including reviewing incoming cases and uploading data into the database.
  • Communication: Communicate with internal teams and external vendors and partners internationally.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and ability to communicate with all levels of the company, including senior management.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and problem-solve.
  • Time Management: Strong time management, project management, and workload management skills.
  • Ownership and Teamwork: Strong sense of ownership, teamwork, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications, with high-level proficiency in Microsoft Word (including track changes), Excel, and PowerPoint.
