About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled researcher in economics or finance to join our team at the University of St.
Job Description
The successful candidate will conduct research in decision theory and behavioral finance, working closely with our faculty members. Opportunities for collaboration with AI researchers exist as well. The role also involves assisting in teaching activities and contributing to outreach efforts that bridge academic research with real-world applications.
Depending on the level of appointment (postdoc, PhD student, or predoc), specific goals and expectations will be defined:
- Postdoc: Aligning work towards preparing for the academic job market.
- PhD Student: Enrolled in the Graduate Program in Economics and Finance under Prof. Dr. Matthias Weber's supervision, with possible specializations in economics, econometrics, or finance.
- Predoc: Focusing on applying to competitive PhD programs.
Your Profile
To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:
- A relevant master's degree near completion or completed for postdocs; for PhD students, a master's degree to be completed by summer 2024; for predocs, a near-completion of a master's degree or obtained master's degree.
- A strong interest in the mentioned research areas and conducting academic research.
- A passion for theoretical modeling in economics and finance or experimental design.
