About the Role:
As a key member of our team at Ypsomed AG, you will play a crucial role in the development of innovative electronics solutions for our insulin infusion pumps. Your expertise in embedded hardware systems will enable us to create cutting-edge products that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive concept generation, analysis, and development of innovative electronics solutions and system architectures for our insulin infusion pumps.
- Deliver functionally safe solutions with significant elements of cross-functional design, including mechanical, software, and firmware, in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA Medical Device Design Control processes.
- Contribute to requirements definition, create design documentation, and verification test plans.
- Participate in peer reviewing of various hardware development artifacts and support the verification team with HW-related verifications, including CB certifications for IEC 60601-1.
- Drive new component introduction and obsolescence management together with third-party suppliers.
- Perform root cause analyses as part of 3rd-level support for complaints/production issues and generate technical reports in German and English.
Requirements:
- Degree-level education in Electronic Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in this field.
- Proven track record of developing embedded HW solutions, ideally within the medical sector.
- Thorough knowledge of electronics assembly processes and test methodologies.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Team-oriented, communicative, responsive, and customer-focused.
- Experience with tools such as Altium Designer and DOORS Next is considered an advantage.
- Very good knowledge of German and English (B2 or higher preferred).
