MISSION
We are seeking a highly skilled intern to join our Research and Innovation team in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing material selection procedures that meet the new challenges of environmental preservation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Research and Innovation Intern, you will be working closely with our Tribology team to:
- Conduct bibliographical research and state of the art on targeted systems;
- Develop a FE model for one of the systems;
- Design tests and sample holders if necessary;
- Perform surface characterization using optical and topography instruments;
- Conduct tests on a tribometer;
- Capitalize on results;
- Establish a report explaining the approach and results;
- Presentation of results within the team and R&I;
- All or part of project management.
PROFILE
We are looking for a Master-level engineering student with a strong background in mechanical design, FE simulation, surface science, and surface characterization. You should be able to successfully conduct an experimental campaign and analyze the obtained results. A particular interest in jewelry, watchmaking, and innovation is a plus.
As a dynamic, organized, and autonomous individual, you should have good interpersonal skills, writing skills, and analytical rigor. Based in our R&I hub in Neuchâtel, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from other research sectors within our department.
