Security Governance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Governance Specialist to join our team at SonarSource. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Risk Assessments and Compliance Monitoring

Conduct thorough risk assessments and compliance monitoring activities to identify and mitigate potential security risks. This includes performing in-depth analyses of mitigating controls, documenting risk, and reporting on status, gaps, and risk through key indices.

Liaise with Departments and Stakeholders

Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to assess compliance gaps, determine actions required to close them, and track progress. This includes liaising with IT teams to ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations.

Security Risk Assessments and Vendor Management

Perform security risk assessments for vendor management and ensure that all vendors meet our security standards. This includes conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring that vendors have adequate security controls in place.

Business Continuity and Governance

Develop and maintain Business Continuity processes to ensure that our organization can recover quickly in the event of a disaster. This includes continuously improving the governance program with new information, policies, and documentation.

Customer Due Diligence and Audits

Provide responses to customer information security due diligence questionnaires and support internal and external audits and penetration tests. This includes providing detailed information about our security controls and procedures.

Information Security Awareness and Training

Support information security awareness, training, and educational activities to ensure that all employees are aware of security best practices and procedures. This includes developing and delivering training programs and materials.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in implementing and maintaining compliance to ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 standards. You should have a strong understanding of IT disciplines, IT service management, and delivery. Additionally, you should have experience addressing IS issues in a broad range of IT infrastructures and technologies across a range of business environments.

  • Experience implementing and maintaining compliance to ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 standards
  • Strong understanding of IT disciplines, IT service management, and delivery
  • Experience addressing IS issues in a broad range of IT infrastructures and technologies
  • Experience with SaaS/Cloud technologies and on-premise software delivery
  • Experience working on cross-team projects across a global organization
  • Experience of risk assessing vulnerabilities and penetration test findings
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experience reporting and presenting project progress
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
