Substation Automation Tendering Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Automation Tendering Specialist to join our Grid Automation Europe tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading tenders from initial request to contract closing and handover to operations.

• Creation of commercially, legally, and technically optimized and high-quality offers based on customer specifications.
• Definition of the scope of supply to be offered.
• Close cooperation with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
• Cost calculation estimations and determination of costs, margins, and sales price in cooperation with sales.
• Tender planning and on-time tender submittals.
• Technical support to sales during and during early pursuit stages as well as supporting the contract negotiation.
• Preparation of tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.

• Higher education in electrical engineering or similar.
• Excellent technical understanding of substation automation, control, and protection solutions.
• Good knowledge of the grid automation market.
• Previous professional experience and good track record within a similar business area.
• Strong understanding and previous experience of tendering and commercial processes.
• Fluency in the local language of the desired job location plus a good level of English.
• Willingness to travel and attend customer meetings, up to 10%.
