We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Medical Affairs Scientist to join our team at Basilea Pharmaceutica. As a key member of our Global Affairs department, you will play a crucial role in establishing and implementing the Global Medical Affairs Plan for assigned products.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and coordinate the Global Medical Affairs Plan, working closely with medical affairs teams of commercial partners.
- Support commercial partners in relevant activities, such as microbiology susceptibility testing, microbiological surveillance programs, and diagnostics.
- Act as a subject matter expert for commercial partners, providing scientific expertise and support for their activities and projects.
- Collaborate with internal functions, including Alliance Management, Development, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, and Market Access, to ensure access to key documents and expertise.
- Coordinate the review of IIT and partner-planned studies, ensuring alignment with the Global Brand Medical Strategy.
- Manage Standard Response Letters (SRLs), reviewing and updating them annually or as needed.
- Build and maintain medical/scientific expert engagement through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a global communication channel strategy and drive the implementation of the publication plan for assigned brands.
- D. Pharm or PhD in microbiology, virology, infectious disease, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the infectious disease space with interdisciplinary exposure through industry.
- Experience in writing and reviewing scientific publications.
- Proven ability to develop and implement innovative projects, with a focus on time and quality.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English, spoken and written.
