The Role
This Principal Packaging Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Device and Packaging Development Department (PTDZ). As a member of this department, you will be responsible for the development of medical devices, combination products, and packaging systems for R&D portfolio drug products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and qualify global packaging solutions, ensuring compliance with international procedures and external regulations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leading packaging engineering projects within global teams to meet predefined timelines, quality, and budget.
- Developing and qualifying global packaging solutions through the packaging lifecycle, understanding customer needs, and leveraging the organization.
- Evaluating and screening new technologies, materials, and packaging solutions based on patient, product, regulatory, business, or technical requirements.
- Providing consultancy services/support, writing expert reports, and actively supporting a culture of knowledge sharing and interaction across packaging and device development teams.
- Representing the function in cross-functional review boards, creating strategic alliances, initiating improvements with stakeholders, and maintaining a network in the packaging specialist area by participating in relevant professional bodies.
