About Us:

TN Switzerland is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to oversee and maintain all electrical equipment throughout our ships and Engine Rooms. As an Electrical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems, including electrical maintenance on-board and daily reporting to the Chief Electrician.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems;
  2. Supervise a team of electricians to perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment;
  3. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions;
  4. Collaborate with the Chief Electrician to develop and implement new procedures and protocols for electrical maintenance and operations;
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for electrical safety and operations;
  6. Train and mentor junior staff members on electrical operations and maintenance procedures;
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs and improve sustainability;
  8. Monitor and report on electrical system performance and make recommendations for improvements;
  9. Participate in emergency response situations as needed to ensure the safe operation of our electrical systems.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical operations and maintenance on board ships operating internationally;
  • Proven experience in supervising a team of electricians and implementing electrical maintenance plans;
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and regulatory requirements;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computer systems and MS Office suite;
  • Passport and visa requirements dependent on ship itinerary.
