About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Haleon as a Global Value Engineering Manager Nyon Base. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the value engineering program for our category portfolio across all supply chain nodes, generating business value through continuous Gross Margin enhancement and/or improving the sustainability impact across the supply chain in the medium & long term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Value Engineering Strategies: Develop and implement short, medium & long-term activities to ensure successful delivery across the category product portfolio.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with R&D, Commercial, and SC organizations to develop and implement a holistic program to reduce Cogs and improve the sustainability impact of our portfolio through Value Engineering for the categories.
  • Identify Value Engineering Opportunities: Identify opportunities from the technical & pack catalogs in close collaboration with Category Portfolio leaders and generate projects that also support complexity reduction opportunities.
  • Drive Alignment: Drive and influence alignment on Value Engineering platform initiatives impacting the bottom line delivery with senior Commercial leaders in the category and regions.
  • Secure Endorsement: Secure endorsement for all Value Engineering savings platforms and project initiatives at the appropriate governance forums.
  • Deploy Project Funds: Efficiently deploy project funds and resources to deliver the Category VE strategy.
  • Support NPI Stage & Gate Process: Support SC input in the NPI Stage & Gate process, ensuring application of Design to Value principles for new product development.
  • Capture and Analyze Business Requirements: Capture, analyze, and fully understand Category business requirements & translate these into Value Engineering strategies and programs.
  • Develop Best Practices: Develop and roll out best practice tools, templates, and training programs on Value Engineering for the category, relevant sites & regions in the New Consumer Healthcare organization.
  • Champion Sustainable Solutions: Champion the deployment of technical solutions to support our Sustainability Company goals on recyclability readiness, Virgin Plastic footprint reduction, and CO2 emissions reduction.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation Degree: A graduation degree in science, engineering, maths, commerce, economics, accounting & finance, or business management.
  • Experience: At least years' experience in manufacturing operations management in FMCH, FMCG, or pharmaceutical multinational or R&D product development roles combined with supply chain roles.
  • Operational Site Roles: Experience in operational site roles and across one or more than one supply chain function – manufacturing, planning, procurement, logistics, engineering, technical, quality.
  • Cost Savings Projects: Proven experience and delivery of cost savings projects of substantive value.
  • Financial Acumen: Financial acumen to analyze complex data across the supply chain and combine with variables to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Commercial Category/Markets: Exposure to commercial category/markets to be able to quickly understand and evaluate the impact of VE ideas on consumers/trade and develop effective approval strategies.
  • Product Development & Registration Processes: Understanding of the product development & registration processes & timelines.
  • Leading Multiple Cross-Functional Projects: Experience of leading multiple cross-functional projects in a matrix organization.
