About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cash Management Specialist to join our team at Company 81 - Manulife Data Services Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business stakeholders and ensuring the efficient management of our cash and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Cash Management: Collaborate with Operations Leaders and Business Stakeholders to manage day-to-day cash deliverables, including cash reconciliation, cash projection review, and cash management.
  • Process Transactions: Process fee payments, fund transfers, and FX transactions to support funding needs of portfolio managers.
  • Support Fund Operations: Assist in the daily processing of fund of fund and asset allocation rebalancing trades.
  • Resolve Trade Issues: Support post-trade processing and resolve escalated trade settlement issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, custodian banks, brokers, auditors, and internal/external counterparties to monitor the quality of services and ensure market standard practices are in place.
  • Enhance Procedures: Develop and maintain enhanced procedures and controls within investment operations to ensure consistent high-quality services and support to the front office, clients, and other business units.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including regional and country investment operations teams, Portfolio Management, Project Management Office, Technology, Product, Portfolio Specialist, and Risk and Compliance teams.
  • Provide Training: Assist in providing training for Investment Operations staff to build expertise and enhance Investment Operations capabilities.
  • Participate in Projects: Participate in Investment Operations projects, working closely with other offices and/or the Asia Project Management teams where applicable to ensure efficient and effective implementation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Experience: 6+ years' experience across investment operations, with at least 4+ years' direct experience working in a Middle Office/Cash Management/Investment Operations environment.
  • Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Power Platform and VBA knowledge is preferred. Business systems (Bloomberg, OMGEO CTM, Simcorp, Custodian portals) experience required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to understand, negotiate, and influence business stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues where the resolution is not readily apparent. Good team player with strong written, and verbal communication skills, reading comprehension, and the ability to build relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
