Job Title: Freight Forwarder Sea Freight

Job Summary:

DSV is seeking a skilled Freight Forwarder to join our team in La Chaux-de-Fonds. As a key member of our air and sea freight team, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the entire transport process, ensuring accurate handling of customer orders and high productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control and organize the entire transport process by sea freight import and export, including invoicing.
  • Active communication with customers, DSV offices, agents, sales, subcontractors, and carriers in the daily business.
  • Accepting customer orders, reviewing shipment and order data, and recording orders.
  • Monitoring job costing and profitability, processing vendor invoices according to instructions.
  • Working and resolving operational problems and issues, escalating according to matrix specifications.
  • Quality responsibility, following and respecting specified processes and operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Customer focus, monitoring customer expectations continuously and adapting own activities/procedures.
  • Planning and organizing, prioritizing, planning, assigning, and controlling performance against deadlines and milestones.
  • Knowledge and training on Good Distribution Practice Concepts and applicable SOPs.
  • Commercial apprenticeship.
  • Relevant working experience in sea freight environment.
  • Fluent in English and French, German is an asset.
