Senior Java Application Specialist

M RP-Global is a leading company in the industry, seeking an experienced Senior Java Application Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Java Application Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications in Kubernetes environments.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java application development, including Spring, Hibernate, and REST services. They will also possess expertise in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity requiring collaboration with our global team. The successful candidate will be a resident of Switzerland or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Java-based applications in Kubernetes environments.
- Develop functional and technical specifications using Agile methodologies.
- Automate deployments and ensure system reliability using CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, improving scalability and security.
- Monitor system performance, analyze incidents, provide root cause analysis, and offer first-level support when needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Java application development.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in SQL, Oracle DBMS, Tomcat, Git, and Maven.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and active participation in Scrum ceremonies.
