Data Engineering Practice Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Practice Lead to further expand and strengthen our Data & Cloud Engineering team at Visium SA.
As a Data Engineering Practice Lead, you will be the ultimate data engineering leader at Visium SA and have a myriad of exciting responsibilities, such as:
- Developing and communicating a vision for the data engineering practice that aligns with company objectives, leverages emerging trends for growth, and fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Engaging with potential and existing clients to understand their business needs and outline how we can solve their challenges and provide value.
- Ensuring the business unit performs well and grows over time.
- Providing technical guidance to the team on complex data transformation initiatives.
- Collaborating with sales and marketing to present our services, prepare proposals, and present capabilities, while building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term client relationships.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality data engineering projects by overseeing project management, resource allocation, and implementing best practices to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Encouraging and overseeing the development of new data engineering methodologies, tools, and services.
- Managing team performance, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and promoting professional development.
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring data engineering and other team members.
- Working closely with other business units within the consultancy to integrate data engineering capabilities into broader service offerings.
- Collaborating with technology partners and vendors to enhance the practice's capabilities.
- Ensuring data engineering projects comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
