The Role

We are seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join our team in Vevey, Switzerland. As a key member of the Nespresso Operations and Supply Chain teams, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Nespresso's commercial strategy, including negotiating and drafting key commercial agreements. Your expertise will also be sought after by other departments to provide guidance on commercial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Nespresso's commercial strategy, aligned with the company's overall business goals;
  • Negotiate and draft key commercial agreements, including supply chain and procurement contracts;
  • Analyze and mitigate risks associated with new business initiatives and partnerships;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex commercial and legal issues;
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments in the field of commercial law.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or as an external counsel, preferably in the consumer goods industry;
  • Excellent knowledge of contract law and commercial law;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial agreements and disputes;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity;
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal English language skills; fluency in additional languages is an asset.
