We are looking for a skilled Robotics Systems Engineer to join our team at Hexagon Technology Center GmbH in Heerbrugg, Switzerland. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge robotic systems.

As a Robotics Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining advanced robotic systems, ensuring the highest quality standards in our multicultural R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test complex robotic systems, including mechanical assembly processes and cabling, soldering, and general electronics handling.
  • Work closely with engineers to carry out comprehensive verification testing on both subsystems and complete robotic systems.
  • Maintain a fleet of prototypes, participate in troubleshooting initiatives, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with the team to determine workshop operations and enhance prototype production procedures in line with production priorities.
Requirements
  • Possession of training as a Polymechanic EFZ, Automation Technician EFZ, or equivalent vocational training. FH-level production engineer qualification would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly processes, including cabling, soldering, and general electronics handling.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a technician/maintenance person working with complex mechatronic systems.
  • Self-organized and able to determine daily tasks, prioritize them effectively, and manage workshop operations.
  • Experience in understanding and following drawings for the assembly of electromechanical components and proficiency in the use of measurement and testing tools for mechatronic subsystems.
  • ESD safety measures knowledge is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and evolving environment and proficiency in basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary, while German fluency (B2 or higher) is preferred.

Estimated salary range for this position is CHF 70,000 - CHF 90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
