Global Contamination Control Leader for Life Sciences

At Lonza, we are committed to developing and implementing proactive Sterility Assurance (SA) and microbial contamination control (MCC) programs for our global operations. As a Senior Director, Global Head MCC & Sterility Assurance, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of these programs.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity requires strong leadership and management skills to provide strategic and operational guidance for Sterility Assurance/Microbial contamination control across our entire manufacturing network. You will be responsible for driving and overseeing global SA and MCC strategy, risk assessment, mitigation definition, and gap closure, as well as sustainable implementation in close collaboration with all sites and their SA / MCC Leads.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement proactive Sterility Assurance and microbial contamination control programs for Lonza's global operations.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership and management for Sterility Assurance/Microbial contamination control across the entire Lonza manufacturing network.
- Drive and oversee global SA and MCC strategy, risk assessment, mitigation definition, and gap closure, as well as sustainable implementation in close collaboration with all sites and their SA / MCC Leads.
- Assist sites in response to adverse trends or contamination events with root cause analysis and global implementation of preventive actions where appropriate.
- Bachelor's or Master's in relevant field, Microbiology, Biology or Pharmacy.
- Excellent working knowledge of cGMP and the regulatory requirements for manufacture of sterile and low Bioburden products (FDA, EMA, PIC/s).
- Experience within aseptic/sterile manufacturing and Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven hands-on experience in sterility assurance and contamination control and troubleshooting.
