Private Banking Compliance Expert

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent knowledge of KYC and AML regulations, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a KYC/AML Transversal Officer at our private bank in Geneva, you will be responsible for ensuring the bank adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements related to client onboarding, monitoring, and compliance reviews.

Main Responsibilities

Client Onboarding and Reviews:

  • You will conduct thorough due diligence on new and existing clients, verifying their identity, source of wealth, and assessing risk levels in accordance with KYC standards.
  • Your primary responsibility will be reviewing and approving client documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • You will participate in thematic reviews (Russian nexus, commercial accounts, etc.) to identify potential risks and take corrective action.

Ongoing Monitoring:

  • Continuous monitoring of client transactions and activities will be essential in detecting unusual or suspicious behavior, maintaining adherence to AML regulations.
  • Your ability to analyze complex data and identify anomalies will be crucial in ensuring that clients' transaction patterns are consistent with the KYC/KYT framework.
  • You will investigate and report suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities, upholding the bank's commitment to regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Monitoring:

  • Staying informed about changes in KYC, AML, and other pertinent regulations will be vital in maintaining the bank's compliance standards.
  • Collaboration with the legal and compliance teams will be essential in implementing regulatory updates and ensuring adherence to applicable laws.

Training and Support:

  • You will provide training and support to private banking staff on KYC procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory updates to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • You will serve as a point of contact for KYC-related queries and issues, ensuring seamless communication between departments.
  • Fostering collaboration with other departments, such as WM, risk management, legal, and operations, will be vital in ensuring a cohesive approach to compliance.
  • You will participate in projects aimed at enhancing the bank's overall compliance framework, driving continuous improvement and excellence.

  • Swiss residency is mandatory for this role.
